Reflections, not resolutions

A meditation on the Old / New Year

Seeking inspiration can be one of the most challenging things facing us in our work and personal lives. Do you have a great career but a crap relationship?  Maybe yours is a soul-sucking job but you’ve got an awesome partner.

In reflecting on the past year, I am thinking about the things that I am proud of and as an extension of that, what values were most important to me as the year began. Are those values the same at the close of the year?

Someone else asked me what would I do differently if given the chance to “go back and relive one week of your choosing?” The upshot of a question like this is simply are you on track, inspired?

I am. And I can't wait to see where that takes me next.

Thank you to all who read here and for sending encouraging and thought-provoking emails—you have no idea how much I appreciate it.

Be audacious.

“And we’ll tak a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne”
—Robert Burns, “Auld Lang Syne” (1788)

Peace.
